| It's not a block of structural plastic whose strength needs to be matched; the blades are the size they are to push air. So you'd have a fan that weighed 1% lighter and was 150% stronger or something silly. It's no different than those insanely expensive racing bikes. You go from a million gauge aluminum tubing, which gives you a 2 pound bike frame, to carbon that can't go much thinner and gives you a 1.7 pound bike frame. With a 160 pound rider, for an extra 4 grand. Great if you're a TDF rider in the top .001% who needs that last microscopic edge; utterly pointless if you have a single pound of excess fat you could burn off. If your Z doesn't weigh <2000 pounds, the cf fan is a hundred items down the list of improvements that'll actually make a difference.
